Rigid Insulation

Gas turbines

Gas turbines' internal parts' insulation, realized with electrowelded insulated panels.
Used to protect functional elements such as shaft support bearings, fluid ducts, gas sealing systems.
The insulation can be made of mineral fiber or microporous material, and the coating in high performance alloys such as AISI321, Inconel or Hastelloy.

Gas turbine's exhaust systems

Insulation of the interior composed of rigid panels or exterior composed of properly fitted cushions that cover the elements of the exhaust line such as exhaust boxes, diffusers or ducts.
The blankets are secured with wired binding, springs or support pegs. Other puropose-specific fixings can be defined during the design phase.

Process pipes

Insulations made for process pipes, cryogenic insulation or personal protection: The most commonly used insulating materials are fibrous such as rock wool and AES fibers, high performance insulating materials such as Aerogel type materials, FEF elastomeric insulators, rigid PUR/PIE type insulations and Cellular Glass.

The cladding can be rigid: made in aluminium or AISI316 steel or it can be flexible.
Metal boxes to ensure an easy disassembly or well fitted blankets are used for flanges and valves.

Process or auxiliary machines

The insulation is made of properly fitted blankets that cover the process machines such as Steam Turbines, Compressors, expanders, Gear-boxes and others.

The blankets are secured with wired binding, springs or support pegs. Other puropose-specific fixings can be defined during the design phase.
